Akane is a Japanese illustrator and graphic designer currently based in Thailand. Since 2017, she has been freelancing working remotely and collaborating with clients worldwide.
Her artistic style is influenced by both 80s–90s Japanese pop culture and minimalist aesthetics, shaped by her upbringing in Japan and years of living and working abroad, which exposed her to a wide range of cultures, art, and design principles. This blend of influences gives her a broad creative perspective and a versatile approach to design, while staying true to her Japanese design sensibilities.
Her work combines playfulness, simplicity, and storytelling to create illustrations and designs that feel approachable, spark curiosity and leave a lasting impression.
